The United States Has Imposed New Tariffs Of Up To 233% On Temporary Steel Fences Made in China.

On March 11, 2026, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued a notice of its final affirmative determination on antidumping (AD) and countervailing (CVD) duties on imports of temporary steel fencing from China.
The final determination: Antidumping duties imposed on Chinese producers/exporters range from 129.7% to 184.27% (adjusted to 129.68% to 184.25% after offsetting subsidies), and countervailing duty rates range from 49.19% to 178.97%.
The combined antidumping and countervailing duty rates reach a maximum of 233.46%.

China exports a significant amount of temporary steel fencing products to the United States. According to US statistics, in 2023, the total value of temporary steel fencing products imported from China by the US was approximately $487 million (about 3.345 billion yuan), while the total export value to the US in 2022 was even higher, at approximately $618 million (about 4.245 billion yuan).
Temporary steel fencing is a mobile safety facility used for temporary isolation, security protection, crowd control, or traffic organization, primarily made of steel.
