The U.S. Terminates 337 Investigation On Chinese Enterprises
Sep 02, 2026
On August 31, 2026, Eastern Time, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) announced a final 337 determination, ruling against the joint motion approved by the administrative law judge and terminating all investigations in the case, involving specific notebook computers, desktop computers, handheld computers, tablets, televisions, projectors, and their components and modules with video functions.
The 337 investigation was initiated by Finnish company Nokia (Nokia Technologies Oy, Nokia Corporation) against the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) on April 11, 2025. On May 13, 2025, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) officially launched the Section 337 investigation.
The case was ultimately terminated through an arbitration agreement, without the issuance of exclusion orders or injunctions. This means potential limited exclusion orders or injunctions were avoided, and the U.S. market remains open to the relevant products, allowing continued export and sales in the U.S.
