This is the quintessential internal injector harness for the Caterpillar C7 series engines.
Installed inside the valve cover, it serves to transmit external control signals to the six electronic unit injectors. Since it operates while submerged in high temperature engine oil, its reliability is the critical factor determining whether the engine suffers from "misfiring" (dead cylinders) or "intermittent power loss."

Oil Resistant Fluororubber Seals: The connectors are fitted with high grade fluororubber O-rings to prevent hot engine oil from seeping via capillary action along the wiring into the external ECM interface, thereby protecting the valuable engine control module.
High-Temperature Wiring: We utilize insulation layers made of Teflon (PTFE) or materials of equivalent specification; even after prolonged submersion in engine oil exceeding 120°C, the wire sheathing will neither peel nor soften.
High Flexibility: The cable structure has been optimized to withstand the high frequency vibrations characteristic of the C7 engine, effectively preventing fatigue fractures within the copper cores.

Common Failure Analysis:
One of the most notorious faults associated with the C7 engine is "oil intrusion into the wiring harness." If the seals on part number 195-7336 fail, engine oil will wick along the wires directly into the ECM, potentially resulting in financial losses amounting to tens of thousands. During routine "valve adjustments" or when replacing the "valve cover gasket," if you observe any blackening at the harness connectors or notice that the wire sheathing has become brittle, the harness must be replaced immediately.
